    People continue to ask me "how's the market?" and I continue to respond, "This has been a tremendous year for me."  Yes, there are some Realtors who are noticing a bit of a decline in their sales, but those might be agents who don't work full time.  During the early part of 2000 we listed homes for 6 months.  Then all of a sudden we noticed homes selling within 60 days.  That's when the real estate boom hit.  We are now noticing homes taking 6-12 months to sell.  That is "normal".  So if you're afraid to enter the real estate market because of what you've read, or heard, don't be afraid.  Prices are coming down to a more realistic level, which means it's time to make an offer!  Sellers are more motivated and willing to negotiate.

    If you're considering selling, be willing to price your home correctly and it WILL sell.  Those sellers who are still operating in the mode of putting a "pie in the sky" price on their property are the same sellers who are sitting impatiently waiting for someone to make an offer.  Buyers are less likely to make an extremely low offer on a property in fear they will offend a seller.  It's much better to price it right to begin with and SELL rather than to price it high and wait for negotiations.
