    Do people buy homes during the holidays?  ABSOLUTELY!  I can't tell you how many times I've received telephone calls on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. 

    You're probably asking yourself "Why was she answering her phone on those days?"  Well, what can I say.....

    Don't fool yourself into thinking no one moves at this time of year.  People are always buying and selling real estate.  People get transferred in their jobs, couples get married and need a home to live in.  I hate to mention it, but people do die and the family members left behind might not want to live in that home alone.  Whatever the reason...people ARE always moving.

    While the media seems to be painting a bleak picture of the real estate market, it's not as bad in our area as it is in the larger metropolitan cities and coastlines.

    Interest rates are still at record LOW LEVELS (currently ranging around 6-6.5% depending upon credit scores).
